What do I wear for my appointment?

It is best to wear loose fitting clothing so that the Physiotherapist can have access to the area, which is causing the complaint. Our Physiotherapist will maintain your dignity at all times and treat you in the most sensitive manner.

Do you deal with Sports Injuries?

Yes, our Physiotherapist is a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine and has worked with athletes from a range of sporting activities as well as competing in a variety of endurance based sports.
An accurate diagnosis is the key to designing a rehabilitation and treatment programme that will target your pain as well as the cause of your problem. Prevention of recurrence is our second priority and full attention to detail with appropriate treatment enables us to get you back to your sport as quickly as possible.

What can I expect from my first appointment?

You will be taken through a detailed health history with a focus on the particular area of concern. You will then be examined and specific diagnostic tests will identify your problem.

Your injury will receive comprehensive treatment including therapeutic ultrasound to accelerate the tissue repair process, a range of soft tissue and joint techniques and finally an exercise programme that will stimulate healing and strengthen the tissue to prevent the problem recurring.

How long will the appointment take?

Initial assessments take up to an hour, this extra time allows for the diagnostic process and enables a relaxed, unrushed approach to finding the cause of your problem. Follow up treatments take half an hour.
